Performance
fú|gá|lis (hun.)
pushed away from centre in circular motion
In her dance performance fú|gá|lis, which is committed to minimalist principles, the artist follows a constant, uninterrupted circular movement pattern in absolute concentration and silence, inscribed in the square-shaped Lotz-hall. Images reminiscent of thousands of refugees who had to camp at the Keleti railway station at the peak of the refugee-movement in 2015 encounter the historicist neo-renaissance space, the centrifugal movement of the dancer meets the linear fluctuation of the crossing passers-by.
